(OKKU) and Cyrpus Turkish Press Laborers’ Union (BASIN-SEN) have signed an education protocol

The education facilities and the opportunities offered to union members and their relatives by Onbeş Kasım Kıbrıs University are discussed in the meeting arranged to sign the education protocol at Onbeş Kasım Kıbrıs University Rectorate’s Office - dated the 28th of October 2020, Wednesday at 12:00. During the signing ceremony, the Assistant General Secretary of the OKKU, Mustafa Tokay was also present. At the protocol signed, OKKU Rector’s Deputy Assoc. Prof. Dr. Remziye Terkan and the Chairman of BASIN-SEN Dear Ali Kişmir have agreed on working toward providing educational benefits for our society and furthermore developing field expertise. Also, OKKU Rector’s Deputy Assoc. Prof. Dr. Remziye Terkan and the Chairman of BASIN-SEN Dear Ali Kişmir have united on the idea that the main objectives of either party include providing educational support to people during these times of distress, providing valuable competencies in their field of expertise, and enriching their vision by supporting their awareness towards future by adding value to their development through the actual service they provide.

The Chairman of BASIN-SEN Ali Kişmir: “ The current circumstances that we live in had placed education in a more indispensable position. Awareness and mindfulness, perspective and clarity of vision can be earned through education. Education is crucial for us press members and Onbeş Kasım Kıbrıs University has demonstrated sensitivity on the topic by coming up with this approach toward our members and the relatives of the members. Our employees’ motivation, productivity, and continuity of their work in an integrated way with education are important for us. May this education protocol bring the best of luck to either party.” The Chairman of BASIN-SEN Ali Kişmir has ended his speech by thanking Onbeş Kasım Kıbrıs University for the education opportunity on behalf of all the members and employees.

OKKU Rector’s Deputy Assoc. Prof. Dr. Remziye Terkan: “ We are very happy to sign an education protocol with BASIN-SEN. These times of distress that we are experiencing globally have affected us as a society in many ways. Yet, it is on our hands to turn the threatening circumstances into an opportunity. We believe that the most efficient, productive, and beneficial way to overcome these turbulences is education with care and precautions.
