OKKU Rector Prof. Dr. Meltem Onay visited Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Hüseyin Çavuş, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources Ozan Özuyanık and Director of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources

Regarding the "Green Recycle Summit", which is planned to be held by Onbeş Kasım Kıbrıs University, a visit was made to the Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Hüseyin Çavuş, for his support in organizing this summit. Furthermore, an important meeting was held today, under the auspices of the TRNC Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, for the "Agricultural Reform Workshop" that has been planned by OKKU. After our Minister Hüseyin Çavuş pledged that he would provide all kinds of support, the work commenced with Undersecretary Ozan Özuyanık and his teammate Reşat Değirmenci.

Today, we held a long meeting with the Undersecretaries and Experts of the Ministry of Agriculture for the ‘’Sustainable Agriculture Action Plan Workshop’’. In addition to the general issues on our island; the lack of more qualified engineers was noted and concerns were raised involving the need for more qualified specialists.

The importance of this two-day workshop for sustainable rural tourism was once again expressed.

As OKKU, we believe that this productive and solution-oriented meeting will ensure that all sector stakeholders are united and will be instrumental in formations with the goal to take action in the short, medium and long term.
