Onbeş Kasım Kıbrıs University visited the grave of the late Founder President of the Republic Rauf Denktaş.

Onbeş Kasım Kıbrıs University visited the grave of the late Rauf Denktaş on Friday, January 13, 2023, and paid respect to the founding President and architect of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Representing the Onbeş Kasım Kıbrıs University, Rector Prof. Dr. Remziye Terkan and a team of administrative and academic staff attended the commemoration ceremony held at his grave on the 11th anniversary of the departure of the founding President.

At the ceremony, after the moment of silence and the National Anthem, University Rector Prof. Dr. Remziye Terkan made a short speech. Terkan said, “Our founder President Rauf Dentaş, the architect of our freedom and independence, is our social value and it is our primary duty to pass on this value to future generations. The ceremony came to an end when the team, representing Onbeş Kasım Cyprus University, greeted the late Rauf Denktaş, the founding President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, at the entrance of the tomb.
