Buğday Tanesi TRNC Movie Premiere
Under the leadership of Onbeş Kasım Cyprus University (OKKÜ) and in collaboration with the Cyprus Turkish Orthopedic Disabled Association (KTOÖD), the film “Buğday Tanesi” will have an impact on the "Awareness of the Disabled and Increasing Social Awareness" starring the famous actor Kutsi, will be screened on the 6 January 2023. The film “Buğday Tanesi” is based on the life of the Deputy of the Republic of Turkey Atty. Serkan Bayram. The Deputy of the Republic of Turkey Atty. Serkan Bayram will answer the questions of the students and the public, and his book will be distributed. “Buğday Tanesi” is the product of an inspiring success story accomplished by many unsung heroes like Serkan Bayram. “Buğday Tanesi” is not just a movie, it is a story of perseverance, determination, and victory. This story will be presented to the public at the TRNC Lefkoşa Küçük Kaymaklı Macro Cineplex on Friday, January 6, 2023. It was emphasized that the screening of the film in the TRNC is supported by Birinci Global within the scope of the social responsibility project and that our people, as well as the protocol and students, are invited to witness these real lives together.
Before the premiere, the opening speech was made by Onbeş Kasım Kıbrıs University Rector Prof. Dr. Remziye TERKAN. Terkan stated “It is the sensitivity of our university to be the voice of our beautiful brothers. Onbeş Kasım Cyprus University is an unhindered university to add meaning and value to life. The hero of the story Deputy of the Republic of Türkiye, Dear Atty. Serkan Bayram, portrayed by the magnificent performance of famous Turkish actor Kutsi, touched our hearts. I congratulate him for being a light to millions”. Terkan expressed her love and respect for everyone at the premiere.
Onbeş Kasım Cyprus University Rector Prof. Dr. After Remziye Terkan's speech, Günay KİBRİT, President of the Cyprus Turkish Association for the Orthopedic Disabled, took the floor. He started his speech by thanking the supporters of the premiere. He added “ The movie “Buğday Tanesi” has touched our hearts. First of all, I would like to express our happiness and pride to be a part of such a social responsibility project. With the film, there will be hope for us and our next brothers. Our wish is to live a better and fairer tomorrow and to win every one of our brothers.” After the speeches of Mr. Günay Kibrit, President of the Cyprus Turkish Association for the Orthopedically Disabled, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Onbeş Kasım Kıbrıs University and Birinci Global Chairman Mr. Ertan BIRINCI took the floor. He expressed his happiness and honor that the first "Buğday Tanesi" movie premiere was being screened in the TRNC as part of the Onbeş Kasım Cyprus University social responsibility project and continued his words as follows. “The Buğday Tanesi is the story of millions. It is the story of losing only when you give up, not when you fall, and that's why success will always be achieved with struggle. It is an exemplar work for millions. It is a work that will be a light to millions.”
Mr Ertan Birinci further added to his words, “We established the first cinema in the TRNC together with Mr. Ersin Tatar, who is currently the President of the Republic. Cinema has a very important place in raising awareness to humanity. Deputy of the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. Atty. Serkan Bayram, I would like to express my happiness and honor to meet his acquaintance, such a struggling brother, and to present his exemplary life story to our students and people, under the leadership of our University, within the scope of the Cyprus Turkish Orthopedic Disability Cooperation and the Birinci Global Social Responsibility project, I would like to express my love and respect to everyone. ". After the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Onbeş Kasım Kıbrıs University and Birinci Global President Mr. Ertan Birinci, Deputy of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Atty. Serkan BAYRAM gave his speech. Stating that they have something in common with Cyprus, Bayram said, “Buğday Tanesi is only one example of the voice of millions, the story of millions.
What I have in common with Cyprus is that I was born in the 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation. You lose when you give up, not when you fall to the ground. The people of Cyprus will not give up, and neither will the disabled. This movie has been a movie that only tells about one percent of my life. However, it has become an exemplary film for the voice and struggle power of our disabled individuals, not only in Türkiye but also all over the world. With next week, Buğday Tanesi will be screened in many countries, in the capitals of many countries. Leading countries today requires heart strength and mental strength, not hands and feet. We have provided this awareness, and we will continue to do so,” he concluded. After Serkan Bayram, Mr. Metin FEYZİOĞLU, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Nicosia, took the floor. Feyzioğlu, “Mr. Atty. Serkan Bayram is my colleague, my friend, my brother. I can't wait to watch the movie that will lead the way with such a beautiful work, that his fighting identity will set an example for all disabled individuals. I don't want to keep the word long, I offer my love and respect to everyone," he concluded. Afterwards, Mr. Metin Feyzioğlu, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Nicosia, Mr. Ersin TATAR, President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus said, “We are very happy that the film was screened in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Serkan Bayram's name came from his uncle, Cyprus Veteran. This affected me a lot. His parents named him Şahin when he was born. But his uncle participated in the Cyprus Struggle, the Cyprus Peace Operation, his name became Serkan after his veteran uncle Serkan Gazi, so he changed his name to Serkan. I congratulate our brother Serkan for his struggle and for being the voice of millions.”.
“Buğday Tanesi” TRNC movie premiere attracted great attention. There was a flood of tears in the movie. Watching the struggle for life of a baby whose been through a terrible fire accident, witnessing the pain of his mother and father's, broke the audiences’ hearts, and witnessing the lives of millions were evaluated as an important work in increasing social awareness and consciousness.
