UCLG-MEWA Gender Equality Committee Presidential Council Meeting was held

UCLG-MEWA Gender Equality Committee Presidential Council Meeting was held at Kyrenia Grand Pasha Hotel on Friday August 5, 2022. Besides it, the meeting was organized which includes reporting the final project that is called “Monitoring Equality in Municipalities", which started during the previous term of employment of the committee, also the panel that is “Achieving Gender Equality in Local Leadership: Challenges and Opportunities” and lastly preparations for the "Equality Action Guide for Local Authorities".

As Onbeş Kasım Kıbrıs Univeristy, we were also in the charge of this organization in which has been all bases covered and also international participation has been achieved. This organization which can be called as first meeting that took place under the topic that is enriching our society prosperity. It was elaborated revealing the fact of women's productivity that cannot be ignored in society, and women's recovery-unification-love-dedication-patience-careful thinking and acting, and many other important concepts under this content, just as women make strong smallest unit of their family, also women can bring society to a level of prosperity in the same way and one of the most important representations that will reflect this to the whole world is how a woman will shape the future with an understanding of equality.
